Don't know where the week went, but it has been busy. I went to my aunt's for a few days and helped her pack and came home with some really neat stuff for my garden. Tonight I decided to go to bingo and won $150--yipee. Might have to go back tomorrow night and try again. Will be giving away the torso soon, so hope you visit here and leave a comment. Also got another purse from hubby and this one is really cool. Will take a pic later as I am bone tired, but wanted to come and post. Going back on Tuesday to help my aunt with the final packing, so need some rest. Still have Easter candy bouquets to finish, but I am heading off to bed. I know this is early for me, but I am glad to be going to bed before everyone wakes up-lol. Have a great weekend.

Purse Fetish
Well today is beautiful and I am going to Lake Charles.
But before I go, does anyone know of a support group
for people with a Purse "Fetish". I adore purses and
the lucite was one hubby won on ebay for me. Another
is on its way. I always look for something odd at
the thrift stores and yard sales and these are
just a smidgen of what I have---move aside
Amelda, I have taken over with purses.

More cards
My cards
Wonderful and thoughtful son
For those that know me, my sons are always giving me great gifts and they have really out-done themselves this time. These chocolates are soooooo good, you just want the taste to linger forever. The box will soon be altered, as it has a magnet closure. Having Donnie here is a joy---just hoping someday soon, I can have all 3 of my children together with their families.
A charming tale
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood---oh my, I am not Mr. Rogers, but it truly is a beautiful day today. I thought I would search through my junk jewelry while Donnie is watching a movie and found the charm bracelet my mother gave me for my 17th birthday. Have no idea where the graduation cap is or the birthday cake charm, but I think I am going to load it up with junk charms to dangle from my little fat hand.

Forgotten old boxes
While organizing I had forgotten about these cool boxes. Going to try and find some old handles for 2 of them and alter them for a purse. The other 2 I will just alter them for storage boxes. My mother is giving me some old magazines from the 50s and 60s, so they should have some cool pictures to use.
Spring Canvas
Well Spring has finally reared it's face and the flowers are blooming everywhere. It's a busy week here with my son visiting from New York. The snow storm didn't stop him, as he took a train and just admired nature along the way. This is a canvas that I altered for a swap and really enjoyed making it, so got more canvases to play with. I hope it's lovely in your part of the world.

Beautiful glass ware
I love these old dishes. They are Prairie from Francescan and they are green, but it shows very pale. Not sure what the white dish is, but it looks like a lazy susan of some sort and I would think there is a small dip bowl that should go in the middle. If anyone sees this and knows what it is, please let me know. The clear dishes are old Anchor Hocking, I beleive.
Easter Eggs
Cookies anyone
More of my treasures
Who ever knew an attic would be fun. We still have a few boxes to pull out, but I think they are my daughter's milk glass from my mother. The cream and sugar bowls were my real first gift to my mom in 1967 and she gave them back to me. I can only hope that Chris will not want hers and I could claim them as my own---storage fees-lol.

Sneak Peek of my giveaway
I thought I would give you a sneak peek to what I am going to give away in April. She only has a few things to add to her. Hope you tell your friends, so I can get more listings of places to visit. Not sure how to go about asking them to post my blog on theirs. Remember I am new to altering, but I had fun and that's what art should be about. Looks like one of my crazy dreams.

Future shabby chic chair
Parts of my toys my mom saved
I was lucky that my mom actually saved these little bakeware. The little measuring spoons were from a dear friend. I have actually used the little baking thing for a candy mold. Brenda do you remember these and the mud pies we made and tried to lick---yuk! Wish we still had the little pink stove, frig, and sink.
