The Real Me

Well this is the most recent picture of me. As you can see my hair has grown a lot in the last year and is almost ready for Locks of Love. The white is showing and I have never colored my hair in almost 7 years and it was only a high light to brighten it after all the meds I took for the Staph infection. The sweater makes me look fat---but I went from 144 to 129 in a year and hope to lose 5 more lbs. Aren't those the hardest to lose and baking cookies does not help. Sorry about the glare from my glasses, but this is the real me----no make up unless it's a wedding or special event.
I hope that everyone is having a joyous Christmas Season. Love and Hugs, Pat

Mary, it ususally isn't this long. I keep a Dorothy Hamill "do", but me,my gd, and dil, decided that with so many young children having cancer, we would let our red hair grow, even though they dye the hair after recieving it, for Locks of Love. I had a friend who lost her little girl from cancer after a long battle and long stays at St. Jude's and the spirit of this child was so remarkable, we had to do it. Patene also accepts hair for adults. My hair will be short again soon, but happy that it's keeping my head warm this winter---the worst we are having in years here in the south. I've seen ya'lls and I don't want that kind of winter. Luv Ya, Pat

Hi Pat:
First; your hair is beautiful!!! Second; Merry Christmas!!! I hope all is going well for you and your family. Are you still making your beautiful cards?
I am slowly figuring out how to use TypePad; fortunately with Mary & Betty's assistance I will make it : )
Take care and I will be a better Blogger this new year.
Peace & Love

Your hair is beautiful Pat, so thick and shiny! What a lovely thing the three of you are doing.

You look good in the picture, just like Mother Christmas!

Hope you and Al have a wonderful Christmas together.

I think you look great and young!
The sweater doesn't make you look fat especially when you are standing up....your hair really has gotten long. I didn't realize you were going to cut it to give to Locks of Love.
How nice.
Have a Merry!!!
