God Help and Protect your people

Prayers for Hawaii and Chile

Dear Lord, protect the people you created and keep them from harm. May they be blessed with your goodness and love. Please watch over them all as they are going through a terrible time with Earthquakes and now Tsunamis. Amen.

Mother Nature is not being kind at all this year and many people are suffering from blizzards, earthquakes, and now tsunamis. When will this all end. Even the people along the Pacific coast, California, Oregon, and Washington are under low level warnings.  A 1 ft. tsunami wave can wipe you off your feet---I made straight A's in science and no I'm wasn't considered a nerd. I just pray no one is killed in this. I have friends in Australia and they are under a warning also. Please keep all these people in your prayers. Many Blessings, Pat

More snow predicited

Well Mother Nature sure has been bad this year. This will be the 3rd time we will have snow, but it has been warm for the last 2 days, so I won't wake up tomorrow with snow on the ground. I told Al that I thought we would get a late snow this year and I predicited 3 times. Hope I win something-lol.
After getting good news yesterday, Al took me shopping and he bought me some more great things. Micheals had a huge coupon sale, so I got some Martha Stewart punches and a ton of Valentine things for next year. We then went to Hobby Lobby and I he bought me some more things. I know he is trying to bribe me into moving back, but we just don't get along. I met him 39 years ago and he has changed so much.

As if that wasn't enough, he was collecting some red hat things for me. But the biggest surprise is a new computer with 4GB memory and 500GB hard drive with an 18 1/2 inch wide flat screen monitor. So now I have to burn everything to my little micro disk so I can transfer everything to the new one. Now I will have enough memory to use Photo Shop Pro and keep my Paint Shop Pro, not to mention all the other programs that take a lot of memory. But the bribe won't work, unless he can control his temper and learn some patience with me. It's not my fault that I am bipolar and yesterday, I went into a rage with him, but apologized afterwards.
Now I get a new phone, because my screen doesn't work anymore, but it's about 3 years old and upgrading won't cause us to lose our roll over minutes. I want a slide phone, but you have to have texting and internet with it and I can't afford that. It would be nice, because at least it would be faster than dial-up.
Well, time for a cat nap---I am getting up earlier every day and I'm still dehydrated, so I am tired all the time. It hurts to drink the amount of water they want me to and my tummy swells up like a huge balloon.  I am working on a project right now that may be an Easter giveaway, but I will finish it before I post it. Have a great day or night and I'm going to set my alarm so I don't miss the snow and Lost, one of my favorite shows in it's final season. Many Blessings, Pat

Where are my friends?

Hi everyone who visits. I am back online, but I guess everyone is busy right now. Still crafting and re-finishing some things. I have to get my Bucket List finished and the list is very long as far as projects go. I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day.
Today I go see the Urologist and hopefully will get some answers. It may be just something minor so the glass is half full as I look at it.
Well just dropped in to say hello. I have to get dressed for my appointment. Many Blessings, Pat

2 weeks of agony on the phone, but great Valentine gifts

These are some of the wonderful gifts that my EX bought for me. I guess he thought I needed this because of all the frustration with my PC. Click for larger images.

This is called The Paper Craft Station and it makes boxes, cards, envelopes, and lots of embossing. He printed out a bunch of coupons and made several trips back and forth, but they let him use a 50% coupon, plus he got an extra 20% off his entire purchase on most of the things above and below.Have you ever seen the vintage Cracker Jacks---not great prizes inside. Wish they had put some of the old things like they used to.
These are new cubes and I now have over 50, at least. I lost count and also have some corner cabinets, plus lots of utility cabinets all waiting for my larger craft room----yea for income tax. He is going to use it to build a 24X20 room. I can't wait. I am so excited and have been altering things for the room. I only need to decide what I will do with all the brown things I have. I am hoping he will have an extra room that he will let me decorate with Saints and Stamps and his Marine Corps things.

This is a mask I bought after Mardi Gras. I was going to wait until they were 66 or 75 % off, but didn't want to take a chance. They have plenty of blank masks that I think I will get to alter like this. I am trying to find a manniquin with a head on it, so I can use it with my pink prom dress and jewelry.

And finally, I bought this several weeks ago and I think it fits me to a tee! Even the doctor agrees that crafting is probably cheaper than therapy and you get to see a finished product.

Well I am finally back on line, but it was very frustrating and it turns out they added an extra number to my password and used a lot of my minutes on my cell phone. We went from 4,000 rollover to 800, because they needed me to be on my cell phone to fix things. I am so mad at ATT and I think I may demand them to return my minutes. This makes no sense. If you use your house line, it's free---but with your cell phone, you are charged for Tech service and it was ATT's fault.

In other news, I see a urologist on Monday to rule out bladder cancer. The infection lasted too long and I can't take any more antibiotics unless I am in the hospital. Also not sure if I told you, I will be having spinal surgery. It won't take care of all my pain, because it's too dangerous to remove the adhesions. It could cause another blockage and loss of more intestines.

I have been a little under the weather, but my outlook is so uplifting with an added medication---Abilify. It is so amazing to wake up in the morning and actually wanting to jump out of bed and work on things. I have been sanding, priming and will begin painting tomorrow, barring no rain. I am working on some Saints squash books, but can't put the saints on them, but will give them to people who want them to put on their books or in them. I'm still on Cloud 9 with our victory.

Not much else going on. I will have some before and after next week of things I am working on.  I can't wait for Al to add the huge room onto his house.

I did send my sister an email apology because we all know that Tomorrow may never come and I don't want to leave for home with our Lord with hate in my heart. Not sure how that will play out, but I am preparing myself for a little pain, but Nothing can break my spirit right now. I haven't felt this good in a long time, barr the back pain and scar tissue.

I am preparing for an Easter giveaway, so spread the word and check often. I hope I get more than 4 people, so It doesn't hurt so much. I know it's my fault for running off people, but they all stuck by Amy when she was sick. Now if any of you read the nasty comment last year (end of year) it was probably someone who hates me and just wanted to make me look like a bad person. I am not and I am not braggig, but I have a heart of gold. One of the girls that I got to know at the scrapbook shop I frequented, asked about the purse I had with me on Monday and she said she wanted it, so I cleaned it up, emptied of course and Al is going to bring it to her, unless we go next week when I see the Urologist. Just keep my in your prayers. With me carrying the Hep B and MRSA virsues, anything can go wrong, but I always look at the glass half full.

Al has been playing bingo and you would not believe how much he has won in 5 weeks (not every night now--we only have 3 days that we take turns playing), but over $2,000. He has paid down some of my medical bills and then bought me a large assortment of things for Valentine. Now if he could just control that temper and learn some patience, things might be okay and I could move back with him, but that doesn't look like it will happen. He stormed out of the house last week after a disagreement.
Well I am very sleepy and haven't been going to bed early, but getting up around 8am and having good days filled with smiles. Love, Hugs, and Prayers, Pat

Computer still on the fritz

I'm at someone elses house and my computer is still on the mend. My drivers for dial up have to be updated, so Al is going to take each one and bring them to his house and download them onto my computers. I miss everyone and it sure makes time go by slowly. My Valentine was great and he got me this Paper Station for 40% off and if he had waited, we could have gotten it today for 50%--oh well, it might be gone, because they only had one left.
I do pray to be back on line soon. He checks things for me and hoping that Household6 got her package before Valentine. Love and hugs to all, Pat

Frosty, it's time to melt away and Jack Frost, you need to go!

This is the top of the box from Giving My Heart Away, and since I have not crafted in over 3 years, I do hope the winner appreciates my burned fingers and decoupage glue that look like extra skin on my hands.
This is the contents of Giving My Heart Away, giveaway. If you look on the side of my favorite blogs, you will find  Domesticunderground and look at all the beautiful vintage things she makes. I hope you like this. I really want to do an Easter giveaway similar, but with all the pastels of Easter, but I need to wait and see what the urologist has to say. Maybe if I started now, I could have it finished before my appointment on the 22nd.
Now how about our wonderful Saints! I usually don't watch professional football, but do like college football, but I have been watching the Saints and I can't tell you what it is like in the Who Dat State. Everyone is wearing the Superbowl shirts and caps and it has united a city that was so divided. The only thing I take offense to is that people are calling Drew Brees, Breesus and he even asked people not to call him that. I was on the phone with my daughter when Peyton Manning threw and intercepted pass for a 50 something touchdown. We were both screaming for him to go, go, go! Then got a call from Donnie who never watches football, but was sitting in a lounge with a friend watching the Saints.  There was a parade last night in New Orleans with the Saints on the floats. Heidis (my dil)aunt and cousin got tickets from someone for the Superbowl, so they got on the plane Sunday morning and were at the game. Her cousin kept sending pictures from the stadium and Heidi wanted to be there so much.

Well my infection is still there, so they have scheduled an appointment with a urologist to check out my bladder and kidneys. My pain management doctor said it is about time for me to consider surgery on my spine. He asked me if the pain was bad enough yet to have the surgery and I had to think for a moment and just blurted out NO, not as long as my weekly injections help out. But when that gets to be like the epidurals that don't work, then I will have no choice. I started asking questions about how long I would have to stay in the hospital and he said a week, but that could change. The scar tissue has attached my intestines to my spine and I have a bulging disk that is pinching a nerve. When he pressed on the spot, I flew off the chair. He said that was were the bulging disk was. But I am going to stay busy crafting until that time comes. I have a very positive attitude right now and it's all good. I already told Al if he ever expects me to move back in with him, he would have to control his temper and have more patience with me and this time, we will go together for counseling.
Well I have to lay down with a heating pad for a while, so I will visit blogs later. Again, Congratulations to Household6 and thank you to Denise, Amy, and I believe Irma for joining. I felt sad that only 4 people joined, so watch to see what I will come up with next. I have craft supplies galore and I don't mind sharing, infact, I was born a giver and a follower. The only time I was ever put in a position as a leader was when I made my Cursillio(sic). I will explain that in a later post. xoxo and many Blessings, Pat

Back up and running again

Well after many hours on the phone, I am back on line. Al did my giveaway, so Household 6, please send me your snail mail address so I can mail it to you. I was hurt that only 4 people visited, but I haven't been a very good blogger lately. I have too much going on in my personal life and was hit by a bad infection and I am now on my second dose of antibiotics that make me sicker than the others. My low red blood cell count is what scares me, plus the dehydration. If I have to look at more bottles of water, I will scream. You will not believe where I should have put my bed-lol. I will be having another blood test done to see if the red cells are higher or lower. I feel like a wet towel with no energy at all, but push myself to finish my giveaway, so it was special for me to give my heart away.

With the possibility of having leukemia, my sister is trying to finance the house under her name and forcing me out, but not giving me my share of the inheritance until she sells the house, therefore costing me more money for repairs. I doubt that any finance company will finance it, because we are 4 owners. I was advised by an attorney that she couldn't do that, but that I needed to get legal aid, so I am in the process of doing that. So much red tape to get help and now they can't take  my application until I get a letter from the attorney who did our succession. When I called today, they wouldn't speak to me or return my call, so I sent them a certified letter. The lawyer did something illegal and now I think he should be reported to the bar association.

I have started crafting again and it felt good to see my work finished. I am depressed and scared, but my friend told me not to worry about something I can't change, but they tested me 8 years ago for leukemia and I was scared then. I have been praying that it is nothing but a bad infection and that my immune system is what is keeping me from healing sooner. I just don't know how much my body can take anymore, so please keep me in your prayers. I will try and be more cheerful and tell you about the good things in my life and post pictures as I finish some crafts. Love, hugs, and prayers to all who are ill or just need a hug. Pat
