Spring Concert

Last night was one of the proudest moments I've had in a long time. My grandson Jacob belongs to the Concert Band and they had a Spring Concert at the University. He plays percussion, so he switches instruments often. Here he is before we left and he does that old Jochum pose with his head tilted back. He is getting so handsome and it just seems like yesterday, he graced this world. I spoiled him, but now he is too old for granny, but he still kisses and hugs me tight. He is going to be graduating from 8Th into High School. Where has the time gone! I have a picture of him standing about 6 inches taller than me( easy to do with a 5'1") but the doctor said he has just begun to grow  and has not come close to what he may be--6ft or taller. He doesn't want to play basketball, but he so enjoys music, so who knows where that will lead.

It was wonderful listening to grades 6 to 8 and they played some awesome music and each group had compiled their own music for one of the tunes. To top off the evening, a group that just got together after school played Jazz and each got to be spotlighted and it was incredible. I'm so proud of Jacob. He and his sister both attend and Arts and Technology school for gifted and talented children. Theresa came in second for Reading in her class and we are proud of her also. She also likes music and she will probably take band when she reaches the 6th grade. She will probably attend Paul Breaux also, because with this school, you don't have to live in the District to attend. You just have to pass an excel test that is done at the University and they both tested high. My son, their father, made a 28 on his ACT exam and then played around and got kicked out of college, never to return. My only child who has not finished college, what a bummer, but we are proud of him just the same. We won't know anything about his infection (prostate) until next week, so I have one more week to worry my little head off. Please keep him in your prayers. He is the child we almost lost twice during my pregnancy and again at birth. He weighed 4lbs 7ozs and was only 17 inches long, but now is very close to 6ft. Thank you in advance for prayers. I just don't want anything to happen to my children. They have all turned out to be great adults and I never had to worry about drugs with them. Thank You Jesus!
Well it's my turn today to see my doctor, so I need to jump in the shower and get ready. Have a great day. Love and hugs,Pat
